Come on, let's be real. In this day and age, every website should be responsive - ie fluidly fits to any device dimensions.
Something that's not focussed on enough though is user accessibility. If your visitors can't find their way around your lack-lustre navigation, or can't see where to press 'Add To Cart' because there's no colour contrast, you can kiss your lead conversion good-bye! Haere rā! ¡Adiós!

What good is paying for a website if it's not pretty enough to attract your audience? It's one thing to pay for all those ads to drive traffic to your homepage, but if that homepage doesn't make them go 'ooh' 'aah', they're gonna bounce (yes that's a legit term).
High Bounce Rate is a killer especially for small businesses, so you've gotta give the masses what they want; awe-inspiring colour/font, gorgeous images, and plenty of show-stopping content to pour through (Google loves it when people take their sweet time).
